The Reality (What we have forgotten): When we return home exhausted, we find peace. But for some, their own home has become a cage. Among us are 15 souls who have spent years staring at nothing but the ceiling. Why? Because they don’t have legs to walk, and they don’t have a chair to sit.

They hear the Adhan from the Masjid but cannot go. They long to share in the joy of their loved ones but are helpless. They are forced to live like “living corpses” in their own homes, simply because they lack the $70 needed for a wheelchair.

Today is their test of patience, but it is our test of how we show gratitude for the health and wealth Allah has gifted us. Have we truly become so busy that someone in our neighborhood has been longing to move for years, and we don’t even care?
